so, jason and the boys and i just survived through
26 hours without power.... it was funny to watch
brandon keep turning on light switches... not so
funny when our thermostat read 5 degrees...
things i learnt from the "blackout":
1) i love electricity
2) back in the day, people must have drank alot
in the evening...
3) i was not crazy to have my checklist for survival
4) i should have checked some stuff off on that
list...
5) one should own a generator
note: thanks to the brown's for taking my poor,
helpless family in for the day... with your sweet heat from the generator going...

What? There was no power for hours? Hmmm, I vaguely remember a couple hours...then someone said "generator" then I made hot coffee and watched Oprah...
what are you doing awake at 7:10 am reading my blog - come on now glenna, sleep in...
Well here I am. Making a comment. i was in our baot without power or generator or fire place.....hardly any candles actually!!! Was an early night I tells you.
Its a good thing my father convinced all those people that they needed to buy generators for Y2K!He probably knew they would be needed 7 years down the road... I guess maybe he isnt as crazy as we think? I think they finally got through their supply of canned food...
that's so funny melissa, laurie was discussing that she has gone through just about all her supplies from Y2K... really funny, but they were sure happy to have the generator going!!
That was so nice of the browns to think of asking you over. You got to pull together when these things happen. Actually, thursday night Jon and I were saying this would be the prefect time for the community to get together at the hall. (if the weather hadn't be bad.)
come on girl lets have some more stuff to read!
